VOR

"Our aim is to make elegant, luxurious sneakers for the young at heart."

"Since 2010, that has meant building things we like, and not bowing to trends."

VOR

Some objects lose value with time. Others gain character.

VOR was founded on the second idea. In an era of faster collections and shorter trends, the German label designs sneakers that reveal themselves slowly: in balanced proportions, precisely set lines, a form that holds long after the Zeitgeist has moved on.

The story begins well before the studio. Jörg and Andreas were friends first, shaped by skateboarding, music, graffiti and architecture. Credibility mattered more than polish. Style meant independence, not membership.

That sensibility became “progressive Zurückhaltung”. Minimalism is not the easy option. Remove everything unnecessary, and every decision stays visible: a clean seam, the balance of a silhouette, the feel of the leather.

The sneakers are made in Portugal, in a living industry where knowledge of cut, form and materials has passed through generations. The soft calfskin lining is central to many models. It softens, deepens, takes on traces. Patina is not a flaw. It is biography.

Perhaps the most contemporary luxury: a shoe you would not want to replace.

Essential. Versatile. Enduring.
