Airforce has built a strong reputation around outerwear. How would you describe the brand’s core DNA today, and how has it evolved since your beginnings?
Since 1999, Airforce has been known first and foremost for its jackets. Outerwear has always been our core focus and our true area of expertise. Every collection is built around the jacket as the central piece. A jacket is something everyone needs, and because it has to perform under different conditions, quality is essential. Over the years, we’ve become highly specialized in creating jackets that combine durability, comfort, and style, while everything around it supports and enhances that core product.
What does “modern protection” mean to Airforce in 2026 — both technically and emotionally?
Modern protection means creating outerwear that performs at the highest technical level while also giving the wearer confidence and comfort. Technically, it’s about protection against weather, cold, and movement without compromise. Emotionally, it’s about feeling secure, confident, and ready—knowing your jacket supports you in every situation while still looking strong and contemporary.
How do you see Airforce fitting into the current cultural mood of restraint, functionality, and intentional dressing?
Airforce Sport skiwear offers a luxurious look and high-quality performance at a more accessible price point. With winter sports becoming increasingly popular and ski outfits now worn multiple times a week by the same person, we feel we are entering the market at exactly the right moment. Our pieces are functional, intentional, and versatile, while still delivering a premium feel that fits perfectly into today’s mindset.
What defines an Airforce silhouette? Are there specific proportions or signatures buyers should immediately recognize?
An Airforce Sport silhouette always combines style with a slightly tough, confident edge. We carefully balance functionality and comfort with a strong visual presence. The fit is designed to perform well on the slopes while ensuring you look good and feel confident wearing it.
Are there specific hero pieces that best represent the brand’s vision right now?
The Sun Peaks jacket is a true hero piece and a real bestseller. Its easy fit and oversized look, combined with a clean, fitted ski pant, creates a powerful silhouette that looks great on everyone on the piste.
What made Melagence the right partner for Airforce at this stage of the brand’s journey?
We believe the fresh and renewed approach of Melagence fits very well with our brand. Combined with your extensive experience, it felt like a natural partnership that can help elevate Airforce to the next stage.
What are your ambitions for Airforce over the next few seasons — creatively and commercially?
Our ambition is to make even more people happy on the slopes and to make Airforce Sport a must-have in every ski wardrobe. We will continue to respond to trends and give customers exactly what they want—always with a little extra so they truly stand out and turn heads on the piste. Quality will always remain our top priority, and we will maintain a strong sense of exclusivity in the stores we choose to work with.

This winter, Airforce opened a store in Kitzbühel. How do you assess this step as Airforce’s entry into the DACH market, and how does the location align with the brand’s balance of performance, lifestyle, and premium positioning?
Kitzbühel is a forward-thinking ski destination that attracts an international audience. With this store, we wanted to immediately show who we are as a brand. The store has a high-end look and a very large collection, allowing us to help almost every customer. Visitors can wear their outfit immediately and truly enjoy it during their stay. We are exactly where our customer is looking to find us.
