How lovely it can be to meet twice in life prove the two founders of the Swedish/Italian Label ATP (short for ALL TOMORROW’S Parties) Jonas Clason and Maj-La Pizzelli. They originally met in the late 80s in one oft the Swedish cult stores Gul & Blå and instantly bonded over their passion of style, that extended much further than just fashion. After going their separate ways for the next two decades to work on their talents and their business know how, they met again in 2011, which is when ATP came to life. With family and friends, they embarked on a month long travel to Otranto, a small, medieval town at the cliffs of Puglia in Italy, which is characterized by beaches with crystal clear water, classic Italian cafes, restaurants, and mountainous nature. The village road leads to a restaurant with fluorescent lights and a plastic roof. Paper plates with fried squid, sea urchins and tiny sardines caught fresh by local fishermen. A crisp white wine after dinner. Simple, elegant and delicious. Just dreamy. In this charming little town they stumbled upon a little studio that produced leather sandals. Both bought a pair and wore little else all summer. And this is what sparked the idea behind ATP ATELIER. At ATP the material guides the design. Their shoes and bags are being made in two local factories in Tuscany, where the leather is appreciated and respected. With their products they want to inspire women to make smart choices - both for themselves and for the sake of the world they live in. That is why the fine, suede and printed snake leathers, that are staples of their collections, are being produced as sustainable as possible. Scandinavian design meets Italian production and quality; it doesn’t get any better.
